New CurricUNET Quick Help Guides

We've added new online support for CurricUNET. Quick help guides and online video tutorials are now available to guide you through the process. Just follow this link to get started.

New Curriculum Approval Handbook Available:

The State Chancellor's office has released the 2009 Curriculum Approval Handbook. A link to the new handbook will also be available in the Resources section under Curriculum on the Instructional Services website.

Important CurricUNET Update:

Beginning Spring Semester, a change will be made to the hours/units entry in CurricUNET. You'll no longer have to enter hour and unit values for courses, only unit values and CurricUNET will calculate the total hours for the course.* Click here for instructions.

Instructional Services has added several new Class Schedule Resources to help staff involved in the production of the printed class schedule.  You will also find links to these guides and tips under the Timelines button.

Program Section Now Available

The newly redesigned program section is now available for program proposal entry.  Please click here for proposal entry instructions.  And if at any time you need assistance please call the CurricUNET Help Desk x6502.

PLEASE NOTE:
The program approval process will be available soon.  There are a few program proposals currently in the approval process that need to finish before new proposals can be pre-launched.

Online video tutorials will be available as well as on campus training sessions.  Check back for dates, time and location.

The purpose of these web pages is to provide pertinent information related to the timely processing of curriculum, college catalogs, articulation, transfer, timelines, and calendars.

Mission Statement

Our Mission is to support the development and implementation of curriculum to fulfill the educational needs of our diverse student population and the community we serve.

Goals for 2009-2010

The Instructional Services Office (ISO) will address the following goals during the year 2009-2010, Through objectives established by the ISO. In addition to routine work required to fulfill its mission.

  • Goal 1. Improve communication between IS and District offices, colleges, Continuing Education and other institutions of higher education.
  • Goal 2. Improve the district-wide curriculum management system.
  • Goal 3. Support district-wide initiatives to improve curriculum.
  • Goal 4. Support district-wide efforts to improve educational instruction and administration through technological enhancements.
  • Goal 5. Continue to improve the publication process for the District’s schedule of classes.
  • Goal 6. Enhance the publication process for District catalogs.
  • Goal 7. Improve the management of paper and electronic records.
  • Goal 8. Continue to enhance the operation of IS through staff training and development.
  • Goal 9. Monitor financial accountability within Instructional Services.
  • Goal 10. Support District-wide articulation efforts.
